Minister of Foreign Affairs Vartan Oskanian concluded a three day visit to Tajikistan. His official visit to Dushambe began on April12 with a meeting with his counterpart Foreign Minister T. Nazarov. The two discussed bilateral relations, economic cooperation, cooperation within international organizations, as well as developments in the region. Minister Oskanian presented the current status of the Nagorno Karabagh negotiations, and the two also discussed the Iraqi crisis and other regional problems.

Minister Oskanian also met with Tajik Prime Minister A. Akilov. Their discussions centered on bilateral relations and specifically economic cooperation and trade. The Minister also has a long meeting with Tajikistan¹s President Rahmonov.
