Minister Oskanian received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Kamal Kharazzi. The two ministers discussed regional economic and political concerns. They updated each other on joint Iranian-Armenian projects, particularly on plans regarding the construction of a gas pipeline, as well as other bilateral matters. Minister Oskanian offered Minister Kharazzi an update on the Nagorno Karabagh resolution process. They also discussed regional issues, particularly developments in Middle East and around Iraq. 

During a joint press conference, Ministers Oskanian and Kharazzi discussed the visit and common policies toward regional issues. Minister Oskanian once again explained Armenia's appreciation of Iran's balanced policy towards the Karabagh conflict.
