On June 17,2003 Minister Oskanian received and held extensive talks with Mr. Yanis Magriotis, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic. Mr. Magriotis is in Armenia on a working visit, in his capacity as representative of the Greek Presidency of the European Union. During the meeting they discussed current EU policy toward the Caucasus region. The two sides stressed the importance of development of European integration processes within the three Caucasus republics.They also discussed the regional issues, Mr. Magriotis expressed an interest about the Minister's meeting in Madrid with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
