On June 25, 2003, Minister Oskanian received Mr. Marco Clemente,
the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Armenia.
The latter presented the copy of his Letter of Credence to the Foreign
Minister.
During the meeting, Minister Oskanian and Ambassador Clemente noted
that Armenian-Italian bilateral relations are driven by historically
friendly relations between the two nations and that these relations
have developed further during the last 10 years. A good legal framework
has been established which allows the two countries to deepen and
expand existing economic, political and cultural cooperation.
Mr. Oskanian wished Mr. Clemente success during his tenure as
Ambassador in Armenia and expressed hope that the cooperation between
the two countries will be further enhanced to the benefit of the
two peoples.
