On July 11, 2003, Minister Oskanian received the newly-appointed Ambassador of Australia Mr. Leslie Adrian Rowe, resident in Moscow.

During the meeting, the two discussed the further development of bilateral relations. The Minister emphasized that the countries have sufficient potential for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in economic relations. Both the Australian Ambassador and Armenia¹s Foreign Minister noted that within the framework of international organizations, the two countries cooperate effectively.

Minister Oskanian and Ambassador Rowe discussed various regional issues, as well. Upon the Ambassador¹s request, the Minister described the current state of Nagorno Karabagh peace process and the possibility of a future Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
