On July 21, 2003 Minister Oskanian received Ambassador Christian Strohal, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and Giovanni Kessler, Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

During the meeting, Ambassador Strohal expressed satisfaction at Armenia's progress in making reforms. He expressed readiness to work more closely with Armenia to more effectively and quickly move forward.

They also spoke about the recent elections held in Armenia and discussed how to work together to commence a credible process of electoral reform to improve future polls, in line with OSCE commitments for democratic elections. Ambassador Strohal said that the final ODIHR report on the parliamentary elections, containing concrete recommendations for improving the electoral process in Armenia, will be published shortly.
