Minister Oskanian Receives Head of Collective Security

Minister Oskanian received Nikolay Bordyouja, the new General Secretary of the Collective Security Agreement. The Minister welcomed Ambassador Bordyouja to Armenia, and congratulated him on his new post. Organizaional and policy matters were explored, including the desirability of more frequent consultations on foreign policy, as well as the possibility of raising the level of each member countryıs permanent representative to the CSA.

The Minister explained that the CSA is an important component of Armeniaıs security. The two discussed the importance of the CSA to regional stability. Ambassador Bordyouja and Minister Oskanian discussed developments in Afghanistan and its impact on Central Asia. They also discussed issues relating to the Caucasus.
