Today, Minister Oskanian congratulated Arnold Schwarzenegger on his election as Governor of California.

"Since its independence, the Republic of Armenia has had strong ties with the State of California and we are confident that under your leadership, our relations will continue to grow and become even stronger. To that end, I appreciate your message in commemoration of the twelfth anniversary of Armenia's independence. I am sure it meant a great deal to California's very large Armenian community as well," the Minister said.
