The Ambassador of Bahrain, Kamel Saleh al-Saleh, presented copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister Oskanian this afternoon. The two reaffirmed the traditionally warm relations which exist between Armenians and Arab countries. The Ambassador said the Arab world appreciates Armenia's friendly relations with Arab states. They also discussed regional issues.

Minister Oskanian expressed hope that with the accreditation of the ambassador, who is resident in Tehran, bilateral relations between Armenia and Bahrain will be enhanced. They noted that there are no political differences, and that there is a great untapped economic potential which would be mutually beneficial if encouraged.

The Ambassador invited the Minister to visit Bahrain.
