The
Heritage Foundation/Wall Street Journal’s Index of Economic Freedom
is a theoretical analysis of the factors that most influence the
institutional setting of economic growth. The findings of this study
are straightforward: The countries with the most economic freedom
also have higher rates of long-term economic growth and are more
prosperous than are those with less economic freedom.
Armenia’s ranking among the 162 countries in the index, as well
as the rankings of its neighbors and other ex-Soviet states are
presented herein.
For comparative purposes, the countries that directly precede and
follow Armenia in the Index are also presented.
