Q: The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister says that Armenia is an aggressor state, and thus cannot expect to have normal relations with Azerbaijan, nor to have its delegations, in this case, a delegation to attend NATO Exercise Preparatory Meetings, accepted into Azerbaijan. What is your comment?

It's ironic that the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister chose to make that comment on the exact day when 14 years ago there were pogroms of Armenians in Baku. The Azerbaijani Minister forgets that Armenians took up arms in Karabakh as a measure of self-defense. The Azerbaijanis did not protect Armenians' rights then, and today, they do not acknowledge nor carry on a dialog with Armenians in Karabakh -- or as the NATO escapade showed, with Armenians generally.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister has still not understood what caused this conflict and has still not realized that only dialog and cooperation will bring us to a resolution.
