Newly Appointed Ukrainian Ambassador to Armenia Presents Copies of Credentials to Minister Oskanian

On September 6, Alexander Bozhko, the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Vartan Oskanian.

Ambassador Bozhko had also served as Ukraine's ambassador to Armenia from 1996 to 2001. During the discussion that followed the protocol ceremony, Minister Oskanian congratulated the Ukrainian ambassador on the occasion of his appointment and his return to Armenia and wished him success in his high mission.

Minister Oskanian noted with satisfaction that Armenian-Ukrainian bilateral relations are moving forward and noted that there are further actions to be undertaken for strengthening political, economic and cultural ties.

The sides touched upon the issue of European integration which affects both Armenia and Ukraine and underlined the similarities in the foreign policy priorities of the two countries. In this aspect they stressed the need for more active co-operation and continuous political dialogue.
