Deputy Minister Armen Baibourtian meets with Marie-Anne Isler -Beguin,
Chair of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee November 02, 2005 |

Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baibourtian received Marie-Anne Isler-Beguin,
Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation
Committees, in Yerevan to participate in the ceremonies marking the
15th anniversary of National Assembly of Armenia. During the November 2 meeting, the two discussed prospects for Armenia's integration into European structures. In this context, the Deputy Minister emphasized the necessity of deepening cooperation with the European Parliament. EU-Armenia relations in the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy was also discussed. Minister Baibourtian expressed the hope that the negotiations would begin soon. Both Mr. Baibourtian and Mrs. Isler-Beguin noted the importance of completing Armenia's Action Plan. The two sides also discussed several regional issues. |
