At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Oskanian noted Armenia's high appreciation for the work done by Congressman Hastings in his capacity as President of the OSCE PA, recalling the leadership of US Congressman during the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly June 2005 session in Washington DC.

Highlighting the dynamically developing US-Armenian agenda, both sides exchanged views on bilateral and international issues.

They also touched upon the forthcoming referendum on Constitutional reforms in Armenia, noting the significance of the changes in this context.

Minister Oskanian presented the political situation in Armenia on the eve of the referendum, as well as the Armenian Government's position and approach.

The sides discussed regional issues, focusing on the recent developments of Nagorno Karabakh peace process and Armenian-Turkish relations.
