Rouben Shougarian, Armenian Ambassador to Italy, met with several high-officials in the Foreign Ministry of Italy, on November 18.

Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri, Director General for the Countries of Europe, as well as Marco Marsili, responsible for Eastern European, Caucasus and Central Asian countries together with Armenian Ambassador discussed several issues on Armenian-EU relations' development, Nagorno Karabakh peace process and Armenian-Turkish relations in the framework of European New Neighborhood Policy.

Armenian Ambassador gave Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri letter of Minister Oskanian directed to Gianfranco Fini, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Italy on the occasion of the end of Armenian-Italian days.

During the meeting with Anna Blefari Melazzi, Director General for Cultural Promotion and Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides discussed bilateral cultural issues. Armenian Ambassador presented recent Armenian-Italian days in Armenia, which Italian side accepted with great interest and pleasure.

During the meeting the two discussed the opportunity of holding Armenian cultural days in Italy in 2006-2007.
