Minister Oskanian Meets with Kurt Juul, Welcomes Beginning of European
Neighborhood Policy Action Plan Negotiations November 28, 2005 |

Kurt Juul, Head of Unit for Central Asia and Caucasus, Director-General
of the European Commission for External Relations, arrived in Armenia
on November 28, 2005. Minister Oskanian received the European Commission's
Delegation immediately prior to the start of Action Plan negotiations.
Welcoming the start-up of the project, Minister Oskanian assured the delegation of Armenia's readiness to be involved in elaboration of the Action Plan and to undertake the responsibilities necessary for increased cooperation. The meeting was followed by a full day of negotiations. The Armenian side was led by Deputy Minister Armen Baibourtian. At the end of the day, both sides expressed great satisfaction at the progress made. This process is expected to continue for a few more months until the Action Plan is completed. |
