Minister Oskanian Participates in the Ministerial Meeting of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)

Minister Oskanian participated in the regular meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow on November 30.

During the session, the foreign ministers discussed issues related political developments within the CSTO region, and explored CSTO relations in the security sphere with the UN, OSCE and other regional organizations. The ministers also discussed differences in the positions of CSTO member-states on several international issues.

During the discussion on regional problems, Minister Oskanian introduced the current stage of the Nagorno-Karabagh peace process. Minister also spoke about Armenian-Turkish, as well as Armenian-Iranian relations.

The discussion also revolved around the situation in Afghanistan and its possible impact on CSTO member states.

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, received CSTO Foreign and Defense Ministers on November 30.
