Deputy Minister Kirakossian Visits Czech Republic

Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian was on a working visit to the Czech Republic on April 3-4.

There, at the Foreign Ministry, he met with Jaroslav Basta, 1st Deputy Foreign Minister, and Jaromir Plisek, Director General of the Territorial Section.

The interlocutors discussed issues having to do with the development of bilateral cooperation, and possibility of legal, trade and economic links broadening. They also underlined the need for official visits on both sides in order to give impetus to the Armenian-Czech relations.

Deputy Minister Kirakossian met with Edvard Outrata, Vice-President of the Senate, and Jan Kavan, Vice-chairperson of the Committee for Foreign Affairs. The items for discussions were interparliamentary links, and the upcoming visit of Czech MPs in May.

In the framework of his visit, the Armenian Deputy Minister participated in the International Conference on the Armenian Genocide, where he gave a speech. Senator Jaromir Stetina and the Armenian Community in the Czech Republic organized the Forum held at the Senate. Scientists and historians from the Czech Republic, the USA, Germany, France and Slovakia delivered speeches.

Deputy Minister Kirakossian also met with representatives of the Armenian Community.
