Uffe Balslev, Newly-Appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Armenia, Presents Copies of Credentials

On March 5, Uffe Balslev, newly-appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Armenia, presented copies of his credentials to Minister Oskanian.

During the conversation that followed the ceremony, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador with the appointment and wished him good luck in his high mission.

The interlocutors expressed their satisfaction with the present status of Armenian-Danish relations, at the same time noting that there is still much to be done to deepen the links. Implementation of joint programs in certain spheres can be a contribution to it.

Further, the two exchanged views on a number of regional issues, as well as the European Neighbourhood Policy Action Plan with Armenia. Minister Oskanian outlined the present situation of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.

Uffe Anderson Balslev (MA Western Euorpean Politics 1985). After graduating from Essex he went on to graduate from Aarhus-Denmark (candidate/political science 1989). With occasional detours to the Ministry of Defense, he has pursued a career in the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Service since 1987 with postings in Moscow (1989-92), NATO/Brussels (1996/2000) and UN / New York (2004/05). Since 2005 Uffe Balslev has been Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia, residing in Kiev. Married.
