During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of issues on cooperation development among CIS member states, specifically the implementation process of the resolution 'Improvement of the CIS bodies' as of August 26, 2005, and the creation of a High-Level group for enhancing CIS efficiency.

The foreign ministers of the Member States adopted an agreement on the 'Council of Humanitarian Cooperation among the CIS Member States' and on the 'Creation of an Intergovernmental Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation among the CIS Member States'.

They also approved a program of 'main events to be held in the framework of cultural cooperation among the CIS member states till 2010', as well as the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Council of the Heads of Governments to be held in Dushanbe on May 25.

Later the same day, Minister Oskanian met with Yuri Merzliakov, Russian Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
