The two discussed the government of Armenia’s programs to aid refugees and others in vulnerable circumstances. Both Minister Oskanian and the High Commissioner spoke highly of the cooperation between the Armenian authorities and the UNHCR, particularly through its office in Armenia.

The two exchanged views on the integration of Armenian refugees, as well as the development of the legal field regulating their residency and citizenship.

They also focused on refugee issues in the region, specifically as consequences of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. In this context, Minister Oskanian presented Armenia’s stance on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process, and the latest developments.
