Minister Oskanian expressed Armenia's belief that the Mufti's visit to Armenia is evidence of the friendship between the two nations, as well as the existing dialogue between the two religions.

Minister Oskanian and Mufti Ahmad Hassun underscored the high level of the two countries' relationship, and confirmed the absence of any political disagreement between Syria and Armenia, which provides the groundwork for further cooperation in different fields.

Sheikh Ahmad Hassun spoke warmly of the friendship between the Syrian and Armenian peoples, and of the cooperation between the two countries. The two attached importance to the role of the Armenian community in Syria in the development of the two countries.

The interlocutors also discussed regional issues, the current situation in Lebanon, and the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.
