On November 26, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian who was in
Tokyo for an official visit was received by Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito.
Minister Nalbandian asked the Crown Prince to convey the greetings of
Armenian President Serge Sargsyan to Emperor Akihito and stressed
Armenia's desire to strengthen and develop relations with friendly Japan.

Edward Nalbandian presented to Crown Prince Naruhito Armenia's approaches
to number of regional and international issues, as well as the goals of
his visit to Tokyo, and results of the his meetings and achieved
agreements to develop and deepen cooperation between Armenia and Japan in
different areas.
In the second part of the day Edward Nalbandian had a broad speech about
Armenian foreign policy in Japan's institute of international relations.
Armenian Foreign Minister's speech was attended by ambassadors and
diplomats accredited in Tokyo, high-ranked MFA officials, experts,
scientists, representatives of international and Japanese influential
Media.

In his speech and answers to the questions Minister Nalbandian presented
Armenian-Japanese relations and initiatives of Armenia aimed at their
development, the efforts of consolidation of peace and stability in the
Caucasus region.
Answering to the question on war mongering by Azerbaijani side, Edward
Nalbandian stated. "Maybe, these statements are made with an expectation
to exercise pressure. Apparently, this cannot impress either Armenia or
Karabakh. These attempts create an obviously negative impression about
Azerbaijan among the international community."
Before speech, Minister Nalbandian met Ambassador Yosiji Nogimi, Director
of the Institute and discussed the possibilities of cooperation Armenia's
MFA Diplomatic School and Japan's Institute of International Relations.
The same day Edward Nalbandian gave large interviews to Japan's leading
NHK TV and Nikkei newspaper.
Edward Nalbandian visited also to the headquarters of Shimizu corporation,
where he had a meeting with the leadership of the corporation.

During the
meeting programs realizing by the corporation in Armenia and the
possibilities of their expansion were discussed. The representatives of
the company marked with pleasure that as the result of effective
cooperation with the government of Armenia, latest ecological technologies
are implementing in Armenia.
On November 26, at the evening, minister Nalbandian met with the members
of Japan-Armenia friendship association headed by Ambassador Suima Edamura
(First ambassador of Japan in Armenia).

At the meeting several questions
of Armenian-Japanese relations have discussed. The members of association
expressed their gratitude for the intention of Armenian Government to set
up a diplomatic representation in Tokyo and expressed willingness render
their support to the embassy.
On November 27, Minister Nalbandian concluded visit to Japan and returned to Yerevan.
